Another lovely day in the tropics. St. Croix Moment
There is an ad on TV for a Chinese restaurant that now has sushi, it contains people stuffing sushi into their mouths and still images of sushi trays. There is a voice over commenting on the awesome sushi and fresh ingredients and special chef and blah blah. The best part- one of the still images (clearly from google images) is of a tray of USB drive sushi pieces on a tray! Plastic! Jump drive...
St.Croix
I arrived yesterday into my family’s open arms and the warm evening breeze. We went right out to dinner to a local cuisine outdoor spot which was perfect- conch stew, seasoned rice, ribs, beans, steak, chicken and pates (a local empanada) were all shared. It sometimes seems like everyone I am friends with on facebook is having a baby!! Holy cow! I also think people with babies have more time to facebook perhaps. Really, everytime I sign on there are new baby/bump/ultrasound images! I wish I could hold all of these little ones. Count down to having jobs and a house someday so I can grow one in me! Years. Sigh. I will for now just look and not touch...
Today was a pretty good day in terms of productivity.
I did watch some law and order but I also got a lot done. Tomorrow is RI and Boston, then to St.Croix on Thursday. Yipee. Our house is clean, my desk’s surface is visible, I am packed (mostly), I made some lists, got some last minute items for the ‘rents and pretty much forgot to make it to the gym. Oops. I blame detective...
Since becoming obsessed with the Pioneer Woman (I know I am like 5 years behind) almost 24 hours ago I’ve been trying to convince daniel that if the whole law and urban planning thing doesn’t work out- we become ranchers or farmers or something involving living off the land. I now want to have to walk through mud and watch cows give birth and ride horses into the prairie… I think...
Being unemployed sucks a lot. Ugh. I am a waste of space.

I became obsessed with the Pioneer Woman last night and stayed up until 4AM reading her blog and her story. Oy, I am tired now. I love Mad Men unlike I’ve ever loved a TV show beforez. Now you know. Also, I really feel my age tonight, I am old. I feel old- we went to a bar and I felt like i didn’t know what was going on. WTF. FML. But not really, I love my life.
I had a OBGYN appointment that took me 16 months to get and I had to cancel it. Now I am back on the waitlist for another appointment- they couldn’t even give me a possible month! I am trying to be understanding but this is insanity. I also can’t believe that people act like this is a good system- a shortage of doctors due to malpractice costs. I guess I will just keep getting...

I am going to St.Croix next week for two weeks! Being unemployed blows but being in the Caribbean rules! I was feeling a little bad about the whole thing but I am going to embrace it and be grateful!
Have been ready for work for an hour and am still sitting on the couch. Ugh.
Lately I’ve started to regularly wear robes. This is new and exciting. Robes! They are so comfortable and awesome!

Internship BS
Internet is not working on my computer limiting my capacity at work to actually get work done! I’ve mentioned it to the IT guy and he said he will be around later to look at it. This makes me really annoyed since I am not even at my computer which crashed on Friday and can’t get my data and no one seems to give a shit. There is no one here from my department, I am trying to finish this...
Best way to start a week: getting a ride to work from your sweety! Dreamy.
